Make growth repeatable.
Real outcomes from rebuilding how companies sell and grow
Manufacturing, specialty materials, recruitment, logistics and higher education. In each one, the system joining sales and marketing wasn’t working. These are the results of fixing it.
Renold: 353% growth after sales and marketing were joined up
-
Challenge: The same products were being sold differently in every market, and growth abroad had stalled.
-
Action: Joined sales and marketing up around what the products actually do for a customer. Supported the global business unit rollout, and built one way of selling across products and markets.
-
Outcome: 353% growth in three years [£18.7m uplift]. Tripled leads, and a board that could finally see marketing producing revenue.
“Nik helped us shift a 144-year-old engineering business to application-led growth without losing its heritage. He built the system that unified sales and marketing and tripled lead generation.”
Marketing Manager, Renold

Unifrax / Alkegen: 900+ leads at £350k+ average order value
-
Challenge: A legacy product range wasn’t positioned for where the market was heading.
-
Action: Built the demand programme around the industry’s four-yearly flagship show, run across several cycles. Designed the Greener, Cleaner, Safer positioning the business carried into its later work.
-
Outcome: 900+ GDPR-compliant leads at £350k+ average order value, and a way of generating them that ran again every cycle.
“Nik optimised the budget, substantiated our proposition, and gave us a commercial framework that turned our flagship trade-show activity into a scalable demand channel across Europe, with clear visibility of performance and ROI.”
Senior Commercial Director, Unifrax / Alkegen

Gap Personnel: £23.3m from one new service, rolled out across the group
-
Challenge: The new service worked, but the numbers only stacked up on longer contracts. It had to be redesigned before it could go national.
-
Action: Designed and installed how the new on-site managed service would be sold, priced and run across branches.
-
Outcome: £23.3m uplift in two years and a 17% market share gain. The model was repeatable enough that the group adopted it.
“Nik brought structure, focus, and real market understanding. His commercial strategy gave us clear positioning, a repeatable sales process, and the commercial tools to double turnover.”
Managing Director, Gap Personnel

Boughey Distribution: £27m to £42m after marketing started being measured on revenue
-
Challenge: Marketing was treated as a cost, and nobody could connect what it did to what the business earned.
-
Action: Built and led the in-house commercial function and its reporting, aligned to the board, to ESG and to the KPMG roadmap.
-
Outcome: Revenue from £27m to £42m in three years. It supported £90m+ scale and set the business up for national expansion.
“Nik’s strategic, disciplined approach rebuilt sales and marketing around revenue accountability. The new commercial framework aligned sales, data, and leadership, maximising budget efficiency and hitting every growth target.”
Managing Director, Boughey Distribution

Bangor University: 196 admissions to 551, by talking about what students do next
-
Challenge: The pitch was about where you would study. Open Day visitors weren’t converting, and it wasn’t landing with the students they wanted.
-
Action: Shifted the focus from where students study to what they go on to do. The whole proposition was rebuilt around one line: Go on to make a difference.
-
Outcome: Admissions rose from 196 to 551 in a single recruitment cycle, a 181% increase. Conversion more than doubled, and the university recorded its highest ever engagement.
“The outcomes speak for themselves – but what stood out was the depth of logic behind every decision. Evidence-based, commercially reasoned, and delivered with total clarity on how the system should run.”
Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor, School of Environmental & Natural Sciences, Bangor University
